Automotive
MYPLAST offers services in the field of plastics processing and plastic products for various industries (construction, energy, pharmaceuticals, food, consumer industry and, last but not least, automotive). The main production technologies are vacuum forming (thermoforming) and plastic injection.
Thermoforming of plastics
Thermoforming is a production process in which a semi-finished product in the form of a plate or foil changes its shape without much displacement of the particles of matter. It is mostly done while hot, only in exceptional cases it is possible to shape some plastics without heating, but they are always products of simple shapes and without great demands, especially on dimensional accuracy. This technology is of great importance in packaging technology. Only thermoplastics can be processed by thermoforming. Sheets made of almost all thermoplastics can be processed by shaping, but the most common are styrene plastics, e.g. HIPS and ABS, as well as PVC and its copolymers, PMMA, PC, PET, PE and PP. Single-layer plates made from one type of plastic by extrusion on screw extruders are usually used for shaping.
Plastics injection
Products that either have the character of a final product or are semi-finished products or parts for the further completion of a separate unit are produced by injection molding. Products made by injection molding are characterized by very good dimensional and shape accuracy and high reproducibility of mechanical and physical properties. Injection technology is the most widespread plastic processing technology, it is a discontinuous, cyclical process. Almost all types of thermoplastics can be processed by injection molding. Some reactive plastics and rubbers are also injected to a limited extent.
